RN Coding Liaison

AdventHealth is hiring an RN Coding Liaison at its headquarters in Altamonte Springs, Florida, to bridge clinical documentation and inpatient coding compliance across the health system. ### What you'll do - Review complex inpatient cases to ensure accurate translation of clinical documentation into correct DRG and code assignments. - Perform RAC and commercial post-bill audit rebuttals, defending coding decisions with clinical evidence. - Conduct pre-bill high-risk audits and second-level reviews of post-coded accounts to catch errors before submission. - Evaluate Coding and CDI discrepancies both concurrently and retrospectively, collaborating with coding and CDI staff to resolve issues. - Educate coding, CDI, and clinical staff on documentation requirements that support optimal reimbursement and regulatory compliance. - Apply knowledge of IPPS, CMS, and OIG guidelines to identify coding and documentation risks and support compliant coding practices. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required). - Associate's degree in Nursing plus a Bachelor's degree in nursing, management, or a related field (required). - Minimum 3 years of RN experience in an acute clinical setting (required). - Minimum 5 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital (required). - Prior CDI experience (preferred). - One or more of the following credentials preferred: RHIA, CPC, CCDS, CDIP, or CCS. ### What's included - Hourly pay range of $33.99–$63.22 (approximately $70,699–$131,498 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off starting Day One and four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development and whole-person well-being resources, including mental health support. ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating more than 50 hospital campuses and hundreds of care sites across the United States.
