About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registration Representative for a float position across multiple outpatient health park locations — including Dr. Phillips, Horizon West, Partin Settlement, and Windermere — in the Kissimmee, Florida area.
### What you'll do
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and pre-certifications prior to patient visits to prevent denials and cancellations
- Register patients across all services, capturing accurate demographics, account information, and financial responsibility details; collect patient payments at time of service
- Monitor patient wait and registration times, coordinating with clinical teams to remove barriers to timely care
- Serve as patient liaison between clinical staff and physician offices, ensuring timely submission of plan-of-care documents, status reports, and authorization forms
- Work daily error reports, enter accurate data, and document all collection attempts and missing documentation
- Schedule patients per department, insurance, and physician protocols, collecting relevant clinical information to support accurate appointments
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); technical school education also considered
- 1+ year of experience with computers, EPM, and EMR software (preferred)
- Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding (preferred)
- Working knowledge of revenue cycle functions: registration, insurance verification, coding, and billing
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines including CMS and HIPAA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
