UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Operating Room RN at its Bolingbrook, Illinois hospital campus.
### What you'll do
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized perioperative care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols while maintaining a sterile OR environment.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IV placement, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in the EMR to maintain complete medical records.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to advance patient safety and care efficiency in the OR.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience required; 1 year of surgery experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- CNOR or PALS certification preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR charting and ability to operate OR-specific equipment including IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, and I-STAT.
