About this role
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports patient care on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Cardiovascular floor during night shifts at AdventHealth Tampa in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform treatments per policy, delivering age- and acuity-appropriate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse
- Assist in identifying and reporting patient needs and abnormalities to the RN, including participation in nursing history collection
- Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and enforce infection-control and safety regulations, including proper PPE use and hand hygiene
- Function appropriately during clinical emergencies and support quality improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
### What we're looking for
- Active CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- At least 1 year of PCT or comparable patient care experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
- Previous experience as a unit secretary, monitor technician, or in equivalent clinical support roles (preferred)

The cardiovascular PCU provides step-down-level monitoring and care for cardiac patients requiring close observation between the ICU and general medical floors.
