About this role
AdventHealth Kissimmee is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Kissimmee, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
- Respond to Rapid Response Team calls on a 40-plus-bed Medical Progressive Care Stroke Unit with patient ratios of 1:4–5.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Ability to float between PCU and ICU units based on census needs.
