A part-time Pharmacy Technician II role at AdventHealth Winter Park supports hospital pharmacy operations across central dispensing, sterile compounding, and decentralized services at a faith-based health system in Winter Park, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Accurately prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration date, and barcode compliance
- Compound sterile IV solutions and piggyback containers under aseptic conditions following USP <795> and <797> guidelines
- Manage automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), pharmacy software, and medication automation systems; interpret electronic health records to support safe medication practices
- Maintain inventory accuracy by receiving and rotating stock, removing expired medications, and managing controlled substances per regulatory standards
- Identify, report, and help prevent medication errors including look-alike/sound-alike risks
- Support departmental quality improvement efforts, compliance documentation, and mentorship of pharmacy learners
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) registration required
- Minimum 1 year of contemporary hospital, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in sterile compounding, ADC management, and controlled substance handling
- Ability to work across central/distributive, decentralized, and cleanroom compounding practice areas
- Familiarity with hazardous medication handling, PPE use, and spill kit protocols
