About this role

An Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist (PRN/Day shift) is needed at AdventHealth Lake Wales, a hospital-based position in Lake Wales, Florida. ### What you'll do - Manage airways including manual resuscitation, suctioning, endotracheal intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy tube changes - Initiate, operate, and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilators, including High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation, with patient transport and monitoring - Deliver inhaled medications, bronchial hygiene therapy, lung expansion therapy, and inhaled gases including vasodilators and nebulized opioids - Respond to Code Blue emergencies providing CPR per American Heart Association guidelines - Perform hemodynamic procedures including arterial cannulation, pulmonary artery catheter insertion, ABG puncture, and cardiac output profiles - Document and charge for all procedures accurately in the EMR and communicate findings to the multidisciplinary team ### What we're looking for - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and NBRC RRT credential (both required) - BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) - Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required); Bachelor's preferred - Minimum 1 year of critical care experience - Proficiency in airway management, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic monitoring - Experience with Emergency Room patients, neonatal/pediatric care, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $25.16–$46.80/hour ($52,333–$97,344 annualized) - PRN/per-diem scheduling with day shift availability ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Wales is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
