About this role
AdventHealth Riverview is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist III (PRN) at its acute care hospital in Riverview, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, determining ventilator mode and settings and reassessing the patient-ventilator interface every four hours.
- Draw and analyze arterial blood gases, place arterial lines, and adjust respiratory management based on results.
- Modify respiratory care plans per established protocols using pulse oximetry, peak flow, chest X-ray, and lab data.
- Respond to emergencies, maintaining airways and performing CPR across neonatal through geriatric populations.
- Support cardiopulmonary diagnostics including cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, ECGs, and Holter monitors.
- Assist with advanced procedures such as bedside bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and bronchothermaplasty as needed.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida State RRT license and NBRC credential (or in-progress per Florida transition policy).
- Minimum 3 years of hospital-based RRT experience in an acute care environment.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy or cardiopulmonary science program (Associate required; Bachelor's preferred).
- Demonstrated competency in airway management, ventilator management, and blood gas laboratory interpretation.
- Ability to serve all patient populations: neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.

- Hourly pay range: $26.08–$48.50 (annualized equivalent approximately $54,000–$100,880 at full-time hours).

AdventHealth Riverview is a full-service acute care hospital located at 9330 US Highway 301 S in Riverview, FL 33578, part of the AdventHealth system serving the greater Tampa Bay region. The respiratory therapy department supports a broad scope of cardiopulmonary services including advanced bronchoscopic procedures and a full diagnostic lab. The Level III RRT role carries both clinical and educational responsibilities, including supervision of student preceptorships and staff training.
