About this role
A Registered Respiratory Therapist III position is open at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a full-service hospital located in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, determining ventilator modes and settings with reassessment every four hours
- Draw and analyze arterial blood gases, place arterial lines, and adjust respiratory management based on results
- Perform and support cardiopulmonary diagnostics including cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, holter monitors, ECGs, and EEGs
- Respond to emergencies by establishing and maintaining airways and performing CPR
- Assist with advanced procedures such as bedside bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, and conscious sedation support
- Serve as a clinical resource and preceptor, providing training and supervision to staff and respiratory therapy students
### What we're looking for
- Active State or NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of hospital experience as an RRT, with expertise in blood gas laboratory management
- Associate degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Science required; Bachelor's preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Clinical competency across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills; demonstrated leadership potential preferred

- Pay range: $26.08–$48.50/hour ($54,246–$100,880 annualized)
