Patient Transporter Day Shift

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a PRN Day Shift Patient Transporter at its hospital campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Transport patients safely to and from designated areas throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, beds, and carts - Assist patients with transfers using appropriate assistive devices including lifts, gait belts, slide boards, and walkers - Follow universal precautions and wear required personal protective equipment at all times - Communicate relevant patient information to care team members in compliance with HIPAA guidelines - Receive and accept transport requests via iPod through the Capacity Management system - Participate in onboarding and training of newly hired transporters ### What we're looking for - Minimum 1 year of patient transport or position-related experience - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification - Working knowledge of transfer assistive devices (lifts, gait belts, slide boards, walkers) - Sound decision-making skills to identify when clinical intervention may be needed - Professional appearance and adherence to dress code standards ### What's included - Pay range: $15.00–$22.50/hour ($31,200–$46,800 annualized equivalent) - PRN scheduling with day shift availability - Employment with a mission-driven faith-based health system ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a full-service acute care hospital located at 9100 W 74th St in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system.
