About this role

A Registration Specialist (PRN) at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth serves patients at the Hinsdale, Illinois campus, handling front-end revenue cycle and patient access functions on a day-shift, as-needed basis. ### What you'll do - Register patients for all services, collecting demographic and insurance information accurately to minimize duplicate medical records - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and obtain pre-authorizations within established timeframes - Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as required - Generate patient financial responsibility estimates, collect payments, and establish payment plans - Coordinate with utilization management staff to resolve pre-authorization issues and ensure patients receive necessary logistical information ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Mature judgment when interacting with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with database programs - Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, fax, printer, scanner) - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $17.99–$28.78 (approximately $37,421–$59,862 annualized at 2,080 hours) - PRN schedule: minimum two weekday shifts per week plus every other weekend, hours 10:00 AM–6:30 PM ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is a faith-based health system committed to whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
