Patient Transportation Senior Transporter

AdventHealth Apopka is hiring a full-time Senior Patient Transporter for its hospital campus in Apopka, Florida. ### What you'll do - Manage the Capacity Management Application and resolve floor-level transport barriers in real time - Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for new patient transporters - Mentor transport staff and provide constructive performance feedback - Monitor staff use of iPods to receive and process transport requests through the Capacity Management system - Ensure team members use appropriate assistive devices (lifts, gait belts, slide boards, walkers) for all patient movement - Transport patients to and from designated hospital areas while communicating relevant information to care team members in compliance with HIPAA ### What we're looking for - At least 1 year of patient transportation or related hospital experience (preferred) - Proficiency with transfer assistive devices including lifts, gait belts, slide boards, and walkers - Decision-making ability to recognize when clinical intervention is needed - BLS/CPR certification (preferred) ### What's included - Compensation range: $15.15–$22.73/hr ($31,512–$47,278 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Student loan repayment program - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating more than 50 hospital campuses across the United States.
