About this role

AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead clinical operations and staff at its hospital in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Oversee staff performance, hiring, orientation, scheduling, and disciplinary processes for the ED nursing team. - Manage departmental budget and resource utilization, applying cost-saving measures and healthcare finance principles. - Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives, implementing evidence-based practice changes and ensuring regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, OSHA, specialty standards). - Maintain clinical competency and provide direct bedside support as needed alongside staff. - Develop and implement policies, procedures, and process improvement plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. - Foster patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction while maintaining clear communication across all care teams. ### What we're looking for - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Nursing preferred. - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. - 2+ years of critical care or emergency department RN experience required. - 2+ years of emergency department RN leadership experience required. - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required. - Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred; Cerner EMR experience preferred. ### What's included - Compensation range: $77,759 – $144,624 annually. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Ocala is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
