About this role
A part-time Cook position at AdventHealth Manchester prepares patient, retail, and catering meals on the night shift at a hospital-based food service operation in Manchester, Kentucky.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to meet quality and temperature standards.
- Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring equipment and surfaces meet health standards and recording temperatures per regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals and support efficient food service delivery.
### What we're looking for
- Working knowledge of cooking methods, recipe execution, and sanitary food-handling procedures.
- At least 1 year of foodservice experience in a high-volume culinary production setting (preferred).
- Familiarity with therapeutic diet preparation (preferred) and hospital or nursing home foodservice environments (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
