About this role
The Stroke Program Coordinator at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale (Hinsdale, IL) is a full-time RN role responsible for coordinating and advancing clinical excellence in stroke care across the facility.
### What you'll do
- Develop, implement, and monitor stroke care protocols, pathways, and quality initiatives aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Evaluate stroke care outcomes and lead performance improvement efforts to enhance patient safety and clinical results
- Guide interdisciplinary teams in evidence-based practice, ensuring high data accuracy for stroke program reporting
- Facilitate staff, patient, community, and EMS education on stroke care best practices and updated standards
- Monitor departmental compliance with regulatory requirements including Joint Commission Stroke Certification and AHA Get With the Guidelines
- Collaborate with community and professional organizations to advance stroke prevention and treatment awareness
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with BLS certification required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of clinical experience required, with advanced knowledge of stroke nursing practice
- Up-to-date knowledge of adult neuroscience, stroke treatment, care, and prevention
- Strong analytical, leadership, and process improvement skills
- Certified Neuroscience RN (CNRN) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
