A Monitor Technician (PRN, nights) position is open at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale in Hinsdale, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Observe telemetry monitors continuously, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG/arrhythmia patterns
- Notify nursing staff promptly of any cardiac abnormalities detected on the monitors
- Maintain and troubleshoot monitor alarms each shift, verifying alarms are set and audible
- Document patient monitoring data in accordance with department policy and maintain the telemetry logbook
- Maintain telemetry printouts during cardiac arrests and as clinically indicated
- Support departmental quality initiatives and participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices
### What we're looking for
- Prior monitor technician experience or successful completion of an AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program (or equivalent)
- Basic EKG/arrhythmia identification course completion (or equivalent knowledge)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and arrhythmia identification
- Basic computer proficiency and accurate keyboarding skills
- Ability to complete a competency skill check-off list within 90 days of hire

- Pay range: $17.17–$27.46/hour (~$35,714–$57,117 annualized)
- PRN schedule: minimum 6 shifts per 6-week period, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM nights
