An Emergency Dispatch Communications Specialist role at AdventHealth is available on the night shift at the Ginsburg Tower campus in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Answer incoming emergency calls promptly, collect pertinent information, and enter required details into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system
- Complete the CAD log with accurate patient demographics and time-stamped events in adherence to department protocols
- Update the status of field units and aircraft to ensure compliance and timely transport
- Coordinate with the Dispatch Supervisor to identify and deploy appropriate transport resources
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of relevant communications center experience (preferred)
- Proficient verbal, written, and advanced computer skills including real-time electronic documentation
- EMT certification, Licensed Paramedic credential, or valid Driver's License (all preferred)
- Familiarity with CAD systems and electronic database platforms
