About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program RN at its Merriam, Kansas facility to deliver structured psychiatric and behavioral health nursing care in an intensive outpatient setting. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for each patient. - Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care and patient outcomes. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and maintaining safety protocols. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support treatment compliance. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate integrated patient care and ensure clear communication. - Provide therapeutic communication and emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment process. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Program certification (preferred). - Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and abstract clinical reasoning skills. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $32.50–$60.45 (approx. $67,600–$125,700 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Whole-person well-being and mental health support resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and outpatient facilities across multiple states, with a mission rooted in whole-person care of body, mind, and spirit.
