Certified Surgical Technologist PRN

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team at its Bolingbrook, Illinois hospital. ### What you'll do - Anticipate surgeon needs and keep the circulating nurse informed throughout each procedure - Assemble all required supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the start of each case - Monitor aseptic technique across the entire surgical team and take immediate corrective action for any breaks - Assist with safe and efficient OR turnover times and direct ancillary personnel during room changeover - Supervise and assist with orientation and training of new surgical team members - Promote a safe environment and respond appropriately in emergency situations to protect patients, visitors, and staff ### What we're looking for - Active CST certification (State, NBSTSA, or NCCT TS-C) and current BLS/CPR - Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program (associate degree or technical/vocational preferred) - Solid working knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation - 1+ years of relevant perioperative experience (2+ years preferred) - Ability to work a flexible schedule including availability 1 PM–10 PM, a minimum of 3 shifts and 3 weekday calls per month, plus 48-hour weekend call rotation - Strong communication, anticipatory, and detail-oriented skills ### What's included - Pay range: $23.32–$43.37/hr ($48,506–$90,210 annualized) - PRN/per-diem scheduling with day shift availability - Mission-driven work environment within a faith-based health system ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is a community hospital located at 500 Remington Blvd in Bolingbrook, Illinois, operating as part of the AdventHealth system with an affiliation with UChicago Medicine.
