About this role
AdventHealth Centra Care in Winter Garden, Florida is hiring a full-time Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) to support diagnostic imaging at an urgent care clinic.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Select appropriate ionizing factors and adjust radiographic controls for each procedure.
- Position patients and capture x-rays of specified body parts as ordered by physicians.
- Process film, review images for clarity, and retake when quality standards are not met.
- Maintain x-ray film files in an organized manner and follow infection control procedures for the work area.
### What we're looking for
- Active Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) certification (required).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited program (preferred).
- One or more years of basic x-ray operator experience (preferred).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively to meet job requirements.
- Willingness to float to other AdventHealth practice locations as patient volume or staffing needs arise.

- Pay range: $19.23–$40.09/hour (~$39,998–$83,387 annualized).
