A Consumer Access Admin Specialist at AdventHealth Zephyrhills handles patient registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling at the AdventHealth campus in Zephyrhills, Florida. ### What you'll do - Calculate patient cost-sharing amounts—co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance—and provide personalized financial estimates prior to service - Collect payments, establish payment agreements, and perform cash reconciliation in accordance with legal and financial guidelines - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with payers; correct demographic, insurance, and authorization errors - Register patients for all services, maintaining accuracy and delivering consistent customer service - Connect patients with financial counseling resources and Medicaid eligibility vendors - Communicate financial arrangements for newborns with legal guardians and assist with enrollment documentation ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate degree preferred - 1+ year of consumer access or related experience (required); 2+ years preferred - Working knowledge of insurance benefits, hospital EMR systems, and basic medical terminology - Familiarity with CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA compliance guidelines - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and general office equipment - CHAA or CRCR certification preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $17.63–$28.20/hour ($36,670–$58,656 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health support resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Zephyrhills is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states.
