About this role
AdventHealth Avista is seeking a PRN Operating Room Registered Nurse for day shifts at its Louisville, Colorado campus.
### What you'll do
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary surgical team.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection-prevention and safety protocols throughout surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and perform therapeutic interventions including IV placement, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Monitor patient progress continuously and adjust care plans to ensure optimal perioperative outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in the EMR to maintain complete and current medical records.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and post-discharge care.
### What we're looking for
- Active Colorado RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience (required); 1 year of OR/surgery experience (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Proficiency with EMR charting and clinical equipment including IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, and I-STAT.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated compassion for patients and families undergoing surgical procedures.
### What's included
- Pay range: $35.04–$65.17/hour (approximately $72,883–$135,554 annualized).
- PRN/per-diem schedule with day shifts.
