A Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at AdventHealth Orlando provides direct patient care and medication management services on an inpatient cardiology service in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Round with the interdisciplinary heart failure and transplant cardiology team, managing complex medication regimens from admission through discharge and outpatient follow-up
- Review and monitor medication orders and patient profiles to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems; perform pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments
- Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on safe and effective medication use, including transplant immunosuppression and heart failure pharmacotherapy
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and pharmacy residents
- Identify, document, and help resolve medication safety events, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities; track intervention and cost-savings metrics
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license required
- PharmD preferred; Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required
- At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records, pharmacy informatics systems, and medication automation
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to complete pharmacist consults and perform pharmacokinetic monitoring independently

- Pay range: $50.49–$93.91/hour (~$104,919–$195,333 annualized)

Rollins Street in Orlando, FL, serving as a regional hub for advanced cardiac care including heart failure and transplant services. The pharmacy team operates across central, satellite, and IV areas within a large inpatient environment, supported by a robust pharmacy informatics infrastructure. The role follows a Monday–Friday day schedule with every fourth weekend rotation.
