A Registered Nurse opportunity is available at AdventHealth Porter, a faith-based acute care hospital located in Denver, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and understanding.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care, and supervise or delegate tasks to other healthcare team members.
- Respond promptly to code situations, provide stabilizing interventions, and maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting — preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to use abstract reasoning to assess and revise care plans.
- Fluency in English (read, verbal, and written); basic computer proficiency in Windows-based programs.
