About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist for its hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Perform respiratory and oxygen delivery therapies, recommending the most efficient delivery method per protocol - Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators using conventional ventilation modes - Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gas and co-oximetry findings; conduct quality controls as needed - Provide airway maintenance including manual resuscitator use, pharyngeal airway insertion, and suctioning - Respond immediately to Code Blue emergencies and deliver CPR per American Heart Association standards - Document and charge procedures accurately while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team on treatment plans ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential — required - Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science — required - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required - 1+ year of critical care experience — preferred - Demonstrated ability to care for patients across the full age spectrum: neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric ### What's included - Pay range: $25.65 – $52.00/hour ($53,352 – $108,160 annualized) - Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale is a faith-based, community-centered hospital located at 120 N.
