About this role
AdventHealth Avista is hiring a full-time Operating Room Registered Nurse for day-shift surgery services at its Louisville, Colorado campus.
### What you'll do
- Assess patient conditions perioperatively and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary surgical team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per prescribed protocols in the OR setting.
- Maintain a sterile environment and enforce infection-prevention and safety protocols throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IV placement, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Document all patient care activities in the EMR to ensure accurate, up-to-date surgical records.
- Engage in quality-improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, care efficiency, and surgical outcomes.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR documentation systems.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and patient-advocacy skills.
