About this role
AdventHealth Avista is hiring a full-time Operating Room Registered Nurse for day shifts at its Louisville, Colorado campus.
### What you'll do
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized perioperative care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols while maintaining a sterile surgical environment.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IV placement, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Monitor and document patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care expectations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance patient safety and care efficiency in the OR.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience required; 1 year of surgical experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR charting and standard OR equipment (IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT).
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated compassion for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
