PRN Pre-op/PACU RN role at AdventHealth's Surgery Center Avista in Louisville, Colorado, providing perioperative nursing care on day shifts at an ambulatory surgery center.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments covering physiological, psychological, and sociocultural patient factors.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring patients for adverse reactions throughout the perioperative continuum.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support recovery.
- Collaborate with surgical and ancillary teams to coordinate patient flow and optimize perioperative outcomes.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions as needed.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills for high-acuity perioperative patients.
- Proficiency with EKG interpretation and Windows-based EMR systems.

- Hourly pay range of $34.26–$59.24 ($71,261–$123,219 annualized equivalent).
