About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Phlebotomist for day/evening shifts at its Hinsdale, Illinois hospital campus. ### What you'll do - Perform venipuncture and microtainer (capillary) blood collections accurately and efficiently across inpatient and outpatient areas - Ensure all specimens are correctly labeled and that orders are received and processed properly - Prioritize specimen receipt on a first-in, first-out basis, escalating stat and alert specimens ahead of routine orders - Transport hazardous waste from point of generation to designated secure storage areas per required handling protocols - Support daily workflow coordination and troubleshoot phlebotomy service concerns as they arise - Follow all safety policies including PPE use, hand hygiene, and hazardous chemical handling ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required); completion of a phlebotomy training program preferred - Phlebotomy experience (venipuncture and capillary) preferred - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; familiarity with laboratory analyzers and equipment - Ability to work flexible schedules including rotating weekends and holidays - Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to work both independently and collaboratively - BLS/CPR certification and PBT(ASCP) credential preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $17.17–$27.46/hour (~$35,700–$57,100 annualized) - Medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale is a faith-based community hospital located at 120 N.
