About this role
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse for day shift at its acute care hospital in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate conditions and care needs across multiple units.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Operate patient monitoring and stabilization equipment including IV lines, central lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitors.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel to ensure safe, evidence-based, policy-compliant patient care.
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and procedures.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas (required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience.
- BLS/CPR certification required; specialty certifications (TNCC, OCN, CCNS, NIHSS, NRP, ENPC, or equivalent) preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and automated dispensing systems (Pyxis).
- Strong abstract reasoning skills to evaluate patient status and revise plans of care.

- Pay range: $33.70–$62.69/hour ($70,096–$130,395 annualized).
- $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
