About this role

A full-time Medical Lab Technician role on the day shift at AdventHealth Porter (formerly Portercare Adventist Health System) in Denver, Colorado. ### What you'll do - Perform and document analytical laboratory procedures accurately across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, and microbiology platforms - Execute pre-analytical functions including specimen collection, processing, equipment maintenance, quality control, and calibration - Report results and provide technical support to clinical staff, nurses, and physicians for all patient age groups - Participate in proficiency testing, performance improvement activities, and evaluation of new equipment and procedures - Train and orient new laboratory staff and support ongoing education for clinical personnel - Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including proper handling and transport of hazardous waste ### What we're looking for - Associate degree in laboratory science, chemical/biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution (or equivalent 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training) - Current certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist through ASCP, AMT, or AAB, or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor through AMT - 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience (preferred) - Ability to operate a broad range of laboratory analyzers and maintain accurate electronic patient records - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; college-level reasoning and math proficiency - Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed ### What's included - Pay range: $23.78–$44.22/hour (~$49,462–$91,978 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day 1 - Paid time off from Day 1 - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Porter is a community hospital located in Denver, Colorado, operating as part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, nonprofit network with facilities across multiple states.
