HUC part-time days

A Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) part-time days role at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, supporting direct patient care and unit operations on a hospital floor. ### What you'll do - Deliver direct patient care including personal hygiene and comfort measures appropriate to adult and geriatric populations - Obtain vital signs and lab specimens as directed, reporting abnormal findings to the supervising licensed nurse - Coordinate unit duties including management of sharps containers, pharmaceutical waste containers, blood glucose monitors, and isolation carts - Maintain infection prevention and hand hygiene standards at all times - Manage patient information and medical records with strict confidentiality - Support an orderly, clean, and quiet unit environment using supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - Active State of Florida CNA certificate, Patient Care Technician certificate, or equivalent of one year of nursing school education - BLS/CPR certification required - Prior nursing aide or PCT experience with knowledge of medical terminology preferred - Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written - Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction from licensed nursing staff ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($32,810–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is a community hospital located at 401 Palmetto Street in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system.
