About this role

AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for Surgical Services at its Orlando, FL campus located at 10999 Narcoossee Rd. ### What you'll do - Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards. - Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. - Identify staff training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor team members to support skills development and career progression. - Resolve staff conflicts using mediation techniques to sustain a positive, cohesive work environment. - Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. - Precept and mentor new staff through hands-on training and structured professional development. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required). - BLS and ACLS certifications (required); CNOR certification preferred. - Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum 1 year of charge nurse or nursing leadership experience preferred. - Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred. - Strong critical thinking, financial/productivity management awareness, and EHR proficiency. ### What's included - Compensation range: $33.99–$63.22/hr ($70,699–$131,498 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - CME and career development resources. - Whole-person well-being and mental health support programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Nona is part of AdventHealth's established care network in the growing Lake Nona corridor of Orlando, offering emergency services, urgent care, orthopedics, sports medicine, imaging, and a broad range of specialty care.
