Guest Services Specialist

A Guest Services Specialist position is open with AdventHealth at their Winter Garden, Florida hospital campus, supporting patient registration and access services on the night shift. ### What you'll do - Register patients for services, verify insurance identification, and confirm authorization requirements - Obtain required patient documents, create good faith estimates, and document upfront cash collections - Identify patients accurately, apply armbands, input demographic data, and secure compliance forms - Direct customers to appropriate departments and periodically assess the lobby to address patient and visitor needs - Screen and route faxes and document copies; review physician orders to verify patient information and clinician signatures - Manage clerical duties, support daily operational flow, and monitor account classification related to insurance reimbursements ### What we're looking for - Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (required) - Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office equipment (computers, fax, copiers, scanners) - Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute - Associate degree in Health Services (preferred) - Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credential and bilingual English/Spanish skills (both preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $16.14–$24.83 per hour ($33,571–$53,726 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one plus four weeks of fully paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development programs and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Winter Garden is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states.
