A Central Monitoring Technician (Night Shift, Full-Time) role at AdventHealth Minneola in Minneola, Florida, supporting inpatient cardiac telemetry monitoring across a hospital unit.
### What you'll do
- Continuously observe telemetry monitors, identifying and documenting normal and abnormal EKG/arrhythmia patterns in real time
- Promptly notify nursing staff of any cardiac abnormalities or changes in patient status
- Maintain and verify monitor alarms each shift; troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate telemetry logbooks and complete documentation per department policy, including printouts during cardiac arrest events
- Communicate effectively with the broader healthcare team regarding patient monitoring status and changes
- Support departmental quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices
### What we're looking for
- Prior monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth's Monitor Technician training program (or equivalent)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Completion of a basic arrhythmia identification course (required during orientation)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and EKG interpretation
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and accurate keyboarding skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
