About this role
An Advanced Endoscopy Technician role at Texas Health Huguley Medical Center in Burleson, Texas, supporting complex GI and pulmonary endoscopic procedures on a Monday–Friday day shift.
### What you'll do
- Assist physicians with advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, cholangioscopy, EUS-guided interventions, peroral endoscopic myotomy, double balloon enteroscopy, and endosuturing.
- Support complex pulmonary procedures such as navigation bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound.
- Perform scope reprocessing, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and maintain accurate decontamination records using automated endoscope reprocessors.
- Select, set up, and troubleshoot procedure-specific equipment and accessories, including lasers; anticipate physician needs throughout each case.
- Prepare patients for procedures under RN direction, communicate pertinent patient information, and assist with medication delivery via endoscope under physician supervision.
- Serve as preceptor for new endoscopy technicians and participate in research projects, national teaching conferences, and live training courses.
### What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience assisting GI or pulmonary physicians with complex advanced procedures (ERCP, Spyglass, EUS-guided biliary/pancreatic interventions, navigation bronchoscopy, EBUS).
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an endoscopy technician or comparable healthcare role.
- Active SGNA Advanced Associates GI Technician certification (required).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Demonstrated knowledge of high-level disinfection and sterilization processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
