About this role

A Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports bedside care on the Medical-Surgical unit at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook, a faith-based health system in Bolingbrook, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments per policy, delivering age- and culturally appropriate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and follow prescribed isolation and infection-control protocols - Document all procedures and report abnormal findings to the registered nurse promptly - Assist in obtaining nursing histories and identifying patient needs - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff throughout the shift - Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in practice changes as directed ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Minimum 1 year of PCT or applicable patient-care experience in an acute-care setting - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - Ability to work 36 hours per week on night shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) with rotating weekends and holidays ### What's included - Pay range: $17.17–$27.46/hr (~$35,714–$57,117 annualized) - Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is a community hospital located at 500 Remington Blvd in Bolingbrook, IL, operating as part of the Adventist Midwest Management Services network.
