About this role
An outpatient Registered Dietitian Nutritionist focused on metabolic health joins AdventHealth's team at their Orlando, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform nutrition-focused physical assessments, collect anthropometric data, and review medical records to identify nutrition risks and malnutrition criteria.
- Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans using evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for patients with complex disease processes.
- Provide culturally sensitive counseling and education with attention to health literacy across diverse patient populations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals during interdisciplinary rounds to integrate nutrition into the broader care plan.
- Supervise dietetic interns, dietetic technicians, and registration-eligible dietitians; participate in research and performance improvement initiatives.
- Document assessments, interventions, and nutrition orders accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record.
### What we're looking for
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dietitian experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and standard office software.
- Ability to apply current nutrition research to clinical practice and patient education materials.
