About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Operating Room RN for its La Grange, Illinois hospital on a Day-Weekend shift schedule. ### What you'll do - Assess patients and develop individualized perioperative care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary surgical team. - Maintain a sterile field and enforce infection-prevention protocols throughout all OR procedures. - Administer medications and treatments accurately per prescribed protocols, including IVs, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection. - Monitor patient progress continuously and adjust care plans to achieve optimal surgical and post-operative outcomes. - Document all care activities in the EMR to keep medical records accurate and current. - Engage in quality improvement initiatives to advance patient safety, care quality, and OR efficiency. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois. - Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred). - Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience. - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - Proficiency with EMR/EHR charting and OR equipment including IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, and I-STAT. - CNOR certification preferred; PALS, NRP, or ABLS a plus. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $35.19–$62.17 (approx. $73,195–$129,314 annually). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One. - Paid Time Off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Memorial is a faith-based community hospital located at 5101 Willow Springs Road in La Grange, Illinois, part of the broader UChicago Medicine AdventHealth network.
