About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist for weekend day shifts at its Glenoaks campus in Glendale Heights, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Perform diagnostic MRI examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure image quality and patient safety.
- Screen patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance, including completion of required screening documentation and contraindication review.
- Position patients accurately using appropriate coil placement and immobilization techniques; prepare and administer IV contrast material and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems.
- Conduct and document daily system quality control checks in compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure exam rooms remain clean, stocked, and ready; perform routine equipment safety checks and report low inventory.
### What we're looking for
- ARMRIT certification or ARRT RT(MR) registration — required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required.
- High school diploma or equivalent — required; Associate degree — preferred.
- 1+ years of radiology experience and completion of an MRI training program — preferred.
- Basic IV skills and knowledge of MRI safety standards — required.
- Proficiency with EMR, PACS, and general computer systems — required.

- Pay range: $31.03–$57.72/hour (annualized approximately $64,542–$120,058 based on full-time equivalent).
