About this role

Texas Health Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson, Texas is hiring a full-time RN for its Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on day shift. ### What you'll do - Assess patient status on arrival to the PACU and perform ongoing monitoring of respiratory status, O2 saturation, vital signs, dressings, foley output, drains, and heart rhythms. - Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations per PACU protocol, reporting significant condition changes to anesthesia, charge nurse, or surgeon. - Administer medications in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and document patient responses in the EMR. - Implement individualized plans of care to facilitate safe patient transitions to the outpatient area or surgical floor. - Communicate accurate, complete handoff reports when relinquishing patient care to other team members. - Monitor the EMR for new physician orders and diagnostic results; perform Real Time Scanning duties accurately. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required). - Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum 1 year of RN experience with surgical patients (required). - 1+ year of ICU or post-anesthesia recovery experience preferred. - Demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities based on team members' roles and competencies. ### What's included - Compensation range: $33.28–$61.91/hr (~$69,222–$128,773 annually). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off starting day one and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - CME and career development resources. - Mental health support and whole-person well-being programs. ### About the practice Texas Health Huguley Memorial Medical Center is a full-service community hospital located in Burleson, Texas, operating under the AdventHealth system.
