RN Registered Nurse Behavioral Geriatric Unit

A full-time RN position on the Behavioral Geriatric Unit at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook, Illinois, providing direct patient care to older adults with behavioral health and dementia-related needs. ### What you'll do - Respond to and participate in unit and hospital code situations, treating patients per established protocols - Supervise and guide licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care - Develop, prioritize, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and significant others - Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions and oxygen supplementation - Assist physicians with bedside procedures and perform therapeutic measures as prescribed - Apply advanced clinical reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise plans of care based on outcomes ### What we're looking for - Active RN license in Illinois (required) - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred - BLS/CPR certification (required) - 1+ years of behavioral health nursing experience (preferred) - Experience working with geriatric or dementia populations (preferred) - Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Program certification (preferred) ### What's included - Compensation: $33.60–$56.52/hr ($69,888–$117,562 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and continuing education support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is a faith-based acute care hospital serving the southwest suburban Chicago area, operating under a whole-person care philosophy that integrates physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
