About this role
A PRN Med-Surg/Ortho Registered Nurse role on a day-shift inpatient unit at AdventHealth DeLand in DeLand, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and following hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support understanding and adherence.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication across the team.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing interventions to stabilize patients and maintain a safe care environment.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to assess patients and revise care plans based on outcomes.
- Proficiency in English (verbal, written, and reading) and basic computer navigation skills.

- Pay range: $31.53–$52.24/hour (approximately $65,582–$108,659 annualized).
