About this role
A PRN Pharmacy Technician II position is open at AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida, supporting inpatient pharmacy operations across day shifts ranging from 6 AM to 11 PM.
### What you'll do
- Accurately prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode scanning
- Compound sterile medications including IV solutions and piggyback containers under aseptic conditions per USP <795> and <797> guidelines
- Manage automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), rotate and receive inventory, remove expired medications, and maintain controlled substance compliance
- Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation systems and electronic health records to support safe medication practices
- Identify, report, and help prevent medication errors including look-alike/sound-alike risks
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials using appropriate PPE and spill kits per environmental protocols
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered or Licensed Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of hospital, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in sterile compounding, ADC management, and central/distributive pharmacy operations
- Ability to work flexible PRN shifts across a broad daily window (6 AM–11 PM)
