AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Medical/Surgical Neurology unit, working the night shift at their Ocala, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform and oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy, adjusting care plans based on patient response.
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and manage complications.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training, feedback, and structured professional development.
- Ensure unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting body, and hospital policies to uphold patient safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred given neurology setting.
- Demonstrated experience in medical-surgical or neurology inpatient nursing.
- Strong conflict resolution, team leadership, and staff education capabilities.
