About this role

AdventHealth Waterman is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for night shifts at its hospital campus in Tavares, Florida. ### What you'll do - Administer respiratory therapy treatments across patient populations spanning neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics. - Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators, including airway management and tracheal suctioning. - Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis and support hemodynamic monitoring using sterile technique. - Deliver oxygen therapy, Heliox, inhaled medications, lung expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene treatments. - Assess and reassess patient responses to therapy, adjusting plans as clinical needs change. - Document all care and treatment data accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required). - Active CRT or RRT credential from the state or NBRC (required). - Competency in non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation initiation, management, and liberation. - Airway management skills including insertion and maintenance of a patent airway. - Ability to perform ABG puncture, arterial cannulation, and ventilator patient transport. - 1+ years of experience as a respiratory therapist (preferred). ### What's included - Pay range: $26.08–$48.50/hr (~$54,246–$100,880 annualized). - Sign-on bonus up to $10,000; relocation bonus up to $3,000. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - CME and career development resources; whole-person well-being and mental health support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Waterman is a full-service community hospital located in Tavares, FL, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health networks in the United States. The respiratory therapy team supports a broad inpatient census including ICU and step-down patients, with shift availability spanning both day and night rotations and every-other-weekend commitment.
