About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at its Ocala, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for cardiovascular PCU patients.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and maintain effective communication.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing interventions to stabilize patients and maintaining compliance with infection control and safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; EKG competency per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in EHR documentation and Microsoft Windows-based programs.
