About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Neurology unit at its 1500 SW 1st Ave campus in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain clear team communication.
- Apply EKG interpretation skills as required by unit-specific patient population needs.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); additional licensure or certifications may apply per unit credential grid.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; basic computer proficiency in Windows-based programs.
