About this role
AdventHealth Avista is hiring a full-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse for night shifts at its Louisville, Colorado hospital, with a sign-on bonus available.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors on arrival and throughout the shift.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care and evolving patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Respond promptly to code situations, delivering stabilizing interventions with the care team.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support recovery and compliance.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (required); TNCC preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- EKG interpretation ability per unit requirements.
- Strong multitasking, critical-thinking, and team-communication skills.

- Pay range: $34.26–$59.24/hr (approximately $71,261–$123,219 annually).
