About this role
AdventHealth Waterman is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for inpatient care at its acute care hospital in Tavares, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care and evolving patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and adherence.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication across the team.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and maintaining accurate, timely medical record documentation.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience (preferred; new grads considered).
- EKG competency may be required depending on unit assignment.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with the ability to apply abstract clinical reasoning.
